Greenfield Police have connected the suspects in the July 22nd robbery of the Andy’s gas station at 27th and Layton to the July 15th robbery of the BP station at Loomis and Layton where the suspects fled in a taxi cab.
In the July 15th robbery, the getaway driver left to drive around the block when the suspects exited the business and took advantage of the cab which
was fueling at the pump.
The suspects are in custody and have confessed to both robberies. Both cases will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney on 7/24. The
suspects are identified as a 26 year old Milwaukee man and a 19 year old Milwaukee man.
During the interview, the suspects admitted to committing up to 20 other robberies in Milwaukee where they targeted Indian-owned gas stations and threw
coffee in the clerk’s faces.
Officer Tom Roszak, an 18-month veteran of the Greenfield Police Department is credited with bringing this robbery spree to an end. While on routine
patrol yesterday, he was approached by the victim clerk from the Andy’s gas station. Officer Roszak took quick and calm action, radioed for assistance and located one of the suspects as they were attempting to
flee the area…Officer Roszak’s swift response and sound tactics made it possible for other responding officers and investigators to locate the remaining suspects.
