Greenfield Police announced today that they have cleared a series of daytime burglaries with the arrest of two suspects.
Charlie D. Anderson-Pakulski (white/female) 01/13/1987 and Andrew J. Maki (white/male) 09/09/1985. Both last known address in Milwaukee but had been
staying at motels.
Both suspects were charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court today. A copy of the criminal complaint is attached. A Racine County media release is also
attached.
On July 18th, a 16 year old female called 911 to report that two subjects had broken into her home in the 5100 block of south 48th street and fled when confronted. Responding officers were able to locate the suspects (Maki and Anderson-Pakulski) hiding in a nearby apartment building.
Further investigation has definitively linked these suspects to four daytime burglaries in Greenfield which occurred over the last several weeks in the
area along west Edgerton Avenue. These suspects were also linked to other burglaries in Greenfield and other communities including Racine County.
The investigation, evidence recovered, and statements of the suspects, revealed that Maki and Anderson-Pakulski had been staying at the Hideaway Motel
in the 2700 block of Edgerton Avenue and would venture out during the day in a vehicle stolen from Racine County to commit burglaries in support of a drug habit. The suspects would approach a residence and knock or
ring the doorbell to determine if someone was home before forcing entry to the home and taking money and property. In the 48th street burglary, the victim was in the shower when the suspects rang the bell and was unaware they had broken in until she confronted them in her kitchen.
