The Greenfield Police Department has built its own D.A.R.E. show vehicle. Augustine’s Automotive of Greenfield
donated a 1940 Chevrolet truck to be restored.
A D.A.R.E. vehicle is a symbol to the community that reinforces the D.A.R.E. message to resist drugs and
violence. D.A.R.E. vehicles are used in parades and at special events to present a dynamic image which helps to act as a bridge between police officers and children.
Primary sponsors of the effort were the West Allis Auto Club and N&S Towing. Restoration of the vehicle was accomplished
through the generous contributions of parts, services and money from area businesses.
